Amy Robach Says T.J. Holmes 'Really Bad' at 'Forgiveness'—'Hard for Me'

2 months ago 6

Amy Robach has claimed her partner T.J. Holmes takes a while to forgive her and that the "lag time" is "very hard" for her.

The former ABC News co-stars spilled the tea about what happens when they disagree on an episode of their hit podcast, Amy & T.J. And it seems they have very different approaches after a difference of opinion.

Robach, 51, said that it might take her some time to actually say sorry, with Holmes laughing that he was left "boiling" while he waited. However, Holmes said apologizing wasn't a problem for him at all, but admitted that it was the forgiveness that might take a little longer.

As the topic came up, Robach mused: "Sometimes it takes a day, sometimes it takes a couple of hours, but we have always ultimately apologized and forgiven."

"Forgiving I think is harder sometimes," she added.

Holmes, 47, then jumped in to add: "I think you would agree with this—it takes you longer to apologize, it takes me longer to forgive."

"Yes that is absolutely true, that is absolutely true," Robach said. "It takes me... Sometimes I have to sleep on it because I think I'm right!"

"And I'm boiling for the night!" Holmes laughed.

"Usually in the morning I have clarity and then you are like, 'Yeah I am going to need another day to forgive you,'" said Robach. "So that's unfortunate. You are really bad—the lag time of forgiveness is very hard for me!"

Holmes said that he would "try and do better" on the forgiveness side and Robach revealed she would also do her part, saying that she would "try to do better at apologizing quicker" in the future.

Newsweek has emailed a representative for Robach for comment and has reached out to Holmes on social media.

Pushing the point home about how happy he was to say sorry to her, Holmes told Robach: "You almost barely have time to get on to me about something because I will apologize for things you didn't even notice, you didn't see."

"I have no problem saying I am sorry," he insisted.

TV stars Robach and Holmes used to be co-anchors on Good Morning America 3. However, they exited the show in 2022 after it emerged that they had formed a romantic relationship. In December 2023, they launched their popular Amy & T.J. podcast, which sees them talking about their relationship, other aspects of their lives and any challenges they might face.
