Amy Slaton has pleaded guilty to drug possession. Police were called out to the zoo earlier this year, after the 1000-lb Sisters star was bitten by a camel, and discovered mushrooms in a vehicle.
On September 6, Amy Slaton was arrested at the zoo. She was charged with illegal possession of schedule I drugs, illegal possession of schedule IV drugs and two counts of child abuse/neglect/endangerment.
Amy Slaton pleads guilty to drug possession
Amy Slaton has pled guilty for drug possession and dodged jail time. Police had smelled a suspicious odor coming from a car parked at Tennessee Zoo, where she’d visited with her kids and boyfriend.
Cops found 80 grams of marijuana, as well as psilocybin mushrooms, leading to her and boyfriend Brian Scott Lovvorn’s arrests. They were taken into custody and released on a $10,000 bond each.
She entered a guilty plea for two counts of simple possession. As part of the plea deal, Amy has received a suspended jail sentence of 11 months and 29 days of supervise probation.

Amy is to complete an alcohol and drug assessment, complete parenting classes and have no contact with the safari park where she was arrested for the duration of her probation.
She has also been ordered to pay a $500 fine and court costs. The child endangerment counts that were originally charged have been dismissed, while Amy initially pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Police were originally called for a camel bite
Police had been called after a guest got bitten by a camel at Tennessee zoo. Deputies from the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department responded to the call in Alamo — about 80 miles northeast of Memphis.
She claimed a camel bit her as she was feeding one from her car, prompting zoo employees to call 911. An employee at the safari park called 911 reporting they needed an ambulance, a police report stated.
At the time, Amy’s boyfriend, Brian Scott Lovvorn, was also arrested for drug possession and child endangerment. He was in the vehicle and hit with the same charges as his girlfriend, Slaton.
The duo were booked into Crockett County Jail and had mugshots taken. The 1000-lb Sisters star separated from her ex, Michael Halterman, in 2023, who she shares two sons, Glenn Allen and Gage, with.
