Andrew Buchan kept his wedding finger hidden while walking the red carpet in support of his latest project - amid reports his marriage to Amy Nuttall is over.
The 45-year-old English actor married Emmerdale star Amy, 42, in 2012 - but the marriage hit the rocks in 2022 amid allegations of cheating. The pair reconciled - but after Amy was spotted without her wedding ring in August this year, there were renewed fears that the husband and wife had gone their separate ways for good.
Now Andrew has poured diesel on the flames of speculation by hiding his hand in his trouser pocket while attending the UK premiere of gritty new Netflix drama Black Doves. While it is unclear if the move was strategic and a step to hide that he has removed his own wedding ring, Andrew looked steely while dressed in grey and black at the glitzy event.
Black Doves - written The Lazarus Project creator Joe Barton - stars Keira Knightley, Sarah Lancashire and Ben Whishaw as spies in a thrilling drama which is due to be released via the streaming service on Thursday 5 December. Andrew plays a politician named Wallace Webb in the drama - which has already been renewed for a second season before the first have even been released.

A source previously told The Sun: “Andrew has come to her and promised to change. They have been working through their problems and are trying to put the love triangle behind them for the sake of their family.” While it was also reported that Andrew himself told the outlet: "We are healing" after he reconciled.
But in August this year, split rumours resurfaced after Amy was spotted without her wedding band on. Friends said Andrew failed to stick to marriage 'rules' drawn up by broken Amy. Neither have spoken publicly about the rumoured affair. That potential reunion comes weeks after Amy was said to be ‘crushed and crying every day’ after discovering her husband had been unfaithful.
Amy had seven strict rules for Andrew to follow when she took him back following their first split. Rule number one was that Buchan was banned from contacting the former co-star he grew close to. The second was that he had to check in via FaceTime when working away from home. Thirdly, the couple would reassess their careers to ensure equality - Buchan has been in Bafta award-winning shows including The Crown and Broadchurch while Nuttall has taken on fewer roles and focused on motherhood.
The fourth rule was for both to have access to the other's phone at all times, and the final three clauses involved the '777 approach' whereby couples have a date every seven days, a night away every seven weeks and an adults-only holiday every seven months. "She doesn't want to throw away over a decade together but at the same time she is far from a pushover," the insider said.
