Fans of Paris Hilton appreciate her for her humor, what she’s accomplished as a businesswoman, and her DJing skills. Sadly, like many people in California, she and her family have been impacted by the horrific wildfires, which have ravaged many people’s homes and businesses. Recently, she took to social media to share a live news story that showed their Malibu home being engulfed in flames.

The wildfires broke out in California on January 7. As of the latest reporting, over 17,000 acres have been impacted, and most of the affected structures are homes. This has been called the most destructive first in L.A. history, and people are being urged to evacuate.

Paris took to her Instagram account to share the news that the home where her family built countless memories had been destroyed. She shared a recording of a televised newscast talking about the fires that have devastated so much of California.

She began her post, “Heartbroken beyond words. Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience. This home was where we built so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London.”

She then expressed her sympathy to everyone else impacted by the wildfires by saying, “While the loss is overwhelming, I’m holding onto gratitude that my family and pets are safe. My heart and prayers are going out to every family affected by these fires. To all the people who have lost their homes, their memories, and their beloved pets. My heart aches for those still in harm’s way or mourning greater losses. ”

She then said, “The devastation is unimaginable. To know so many are waking up today without the place they called home is truly heartbreaking.”

Paris also shared that her 11:11 Media Impact Team is currently determining the best way they can help people who this disaster has displaced or impacted in other ways.

Paris also had a message to first responders in California. She said, “To the brave firefighters and first responders risking their lives to protect us—you are true heroes. I am so grateful for your courage, dedication, and the incredible sacrifices you’re making to save lives and fight this unimaginable battle. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

She concluded the emotional post by saying, “Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight. You never know when everything could change.”

Kathy Hilton responded to the emotional post with numerous emojis, including hearts and prayer hands.

Sadly, Paris isn’t the only person related to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills who had a home destroyed. According to The Daily Mail, Yolanda Hadid‘s old mansion, which was once featured on RHOBH, suffered the same tragic fate.

The home was known as Carbon Canyon Estate, and Kylie Jenner once rented it for almost $500,000 per month. Yolanda bought the home in 2007 for $4.5 million and spent two years upgrading it. She sold it in 2015 after living there for eight years. The current owner put it up for sale in July 2024 for $35 million.

Yolanda’s daughter and model Bella Hadid had an emotional reaction to seeing the home burn down. She shared a photo of the house on fire with the caption “childhood bedroom.” Bella also posted links to organizations that are helping people affected by the fires.

These are sad times for many people. We urge everyone in the Palisades region to follow evacuation protocols and any other guidance from local officials.
