Gayle King is keeping her work anniversary tradition alive.
Yesterday, the broadcast journalist celebrated 13 years at “CBS Mornings,” marking the milestone in her famous yellow and white color-blocked dress.
King wore the Alex Kramer piece, which includes the same colors as the show’s logo, on her first day as a co-host in 2012 — and has been pulling it back out every year since.
Co-anchors Nate Burleson and Vladimir Duthiers helped King celebrate her 13th year at CBS.
“You guys might recognize Gayle is wearing a familiar yellow dress,” Burleson said on the show as he handed King a bouquet of yellow roses, crediting Drew Barrymore for the gift.
On the screen, the network showed images of King sporting the special number over the years.
King then shared some words about her work anniversary while also mentioning how it seems
“so insignificant considering what’s going on in the world today,” referencing the Los Angeles wildfires.

“But we have to find out moments to celebrate,” Burleson chimed in.
“I know, I’m very happy to be here 13 years later, but I still keep thinking about what’s going on in California, but thank you so much for this,” the award-winning journalist explained, pointing to the flowers.
Burleson also praised the Sports Illustrated cover star, 70, saying, “And Gayle, I must say, for you to be rocking that dress, respectfully, you aged like fine wine.”
King demurred, calling the shift dress a little “tattered.”
We think the look is timeless.
