Andy Carroll and his estranged wife, Billi Mucklow, couldn’t have had very different weeks, according to recent pictures of the former couple.

The professional footballer, 35, and Towie star, 36, announced in October they are divorcing after secretly separating earlier this year following 11 years together. Sharing five children, two of which are Andy’s from another relationship, but Billi has always treated them as her own and now they appear to be practicing a co-parenting arrangement.

Something that couldn’t have been more obvious than on Monday night when the Liverpool striker was spotted pashing his new girlfriend, Lou Teasdale, at Vas J Morgan’s British Fashion Awards afterparty, while Billi shared a snap from the hospital with their nine-year-old son, Arlo.

Billi revealed last year in an emotional Instagram post that her eldest son had been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Sharing pictures of the youngster, she told fans “there is so much to learn” and that the family would be going through “lots of life changes” but had received some “amazing support” from their health care team.

Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that occurs when the body cannot sufficiently create the hormone insulin, which helps use glucose and regulate blood sugar levels. Following Arlo’s diagnosis, he was equipped with a Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) device to help manage his levels.

But Billi shared in August that he had changed to a Dexcom G7, with his most recent visit to the hospital this week being a check-in with their specialist. Sharing a picture of Arlo sitting in the doctor's office getting his blood pressure taken, she wrote: “Next stop hospital with my boy seeing his diabetes specialist for his review! We are doing good baby, 75% in range, but lots of changes made to get his pump working more efficiently.”

It came just hours after Andy was spotted getting flirty with Lou at the Monday night London event. In pictures from the occasion, the new couple were seen all loved up as Andy placed an affectionate kiss on the celebrity makeup artist’s head as they got their picture taken.

The lovebirds made their relationship public in October when they attended a Halloween party. The footballer was dressed as Travis Kelce, and Lou was dressed presumably as Taylor Swift. Later, they shared snaps on Instagram showing them kissing. It’s unclear when the pair began seeing each other; however, Billi is reportedly aware of the new romance.

Andy and Billi’s relationship appeared to be doomed from the beginning of their marriage after the footballer was photographed with multiple women in his bed during his Dubai stag do. After the pictures of the drunk sportsman were posted on social media, Billi removed her £200,000 engagement ring and moved out of their Essex pad. The reality chose to forgive Andy when Taylor Jane Wilkey, who was one of the women pictured on the bed, assured Billi that nothing happened.

Soon after, the former couple were hit with another challenging situation when Andy declared bankruptcy after signing to play in Bordeaux, France. It was a huge drop for the star as the team played in the fourth division of the French league, where Andy was used to playing for Newcastle United in the premier league.

Andy was forced to declare himself bankrupt after taking a massive pay cut for the job. While with Newcastle, he was reportedly earning £23,000 a week and had £10million in savings. Now he is earning an estimated £750 a week in France.
