Angel Reese has made headlines plenty during her rookie season with the WNBA. After dominating with the LSU Tigers at the NCAA level, she was drafted No. 7 overall by the Chicago Sky in the 2024 WNBA Draft.

Reese began a rivalry with fellow rookie WNBA star Caitlin Clark, which poured over into the professional level. Both were angling for the coveted Rookie of the Year Award, which went to Clark after Reese suffered a season-ending wrist injury.

Reese has remained in the spotlight, being outspoken about her status as a superstar in the WNBA, along with appearing at professional games and events. Now, the young rookie basketball star has revealed her political stance in response to Donald Trump winning the 2024 Presidential Election.

Reese's initial post stated, "woke up speechless...." While that did not necessarily reveal which side of the political spectrum she is on, she continued her disappointment with the election results.

I’m so disappointed in America….Some of you just couldn’t selfishly put your pride aside huh??!?!?

Reese then doubled down on her disappointment with the results, stating, "I'm so disappointed in America....Some of you just couldn't selfishly put your pride aside huh??!?!?"

Reese then commented on what she believes to be an issue for women, with Trump set for office again.

"As a woman, i'm heartbroken for us all..." the post reads. Finally, Reese posted one more time with a message of hope.

God is the best author and the best finisher. I’m just going to pray on this & think positive.

"God is the best author and the best finisher. I'm just going to pray on this & think positive," her final post reads.

Reese was clearly not happy with the results, and she let her emotions be known through many posts on X. Despite the results, she ended her social media responses with a message of hope.

Reese was advocating for a Kamala Harris win, but that was not the case. Trump won by a sizeable amount and will be the 47th President of the United States. Reese isn't the only celebrity who has spoken out, as LeBron James also voiced his concern for his daughter's safety in a post on his Instagram page.

With the 2024 WNBA season over, and the New York Liberty now the champions, Reese is set to focus on healing up so she can return to the court in 2025. She is likely to be ready for the next season despite the wrist injury that knocked her out early.
