Pax Jolie-Pitt spotted with injuries in Hollywood after e-bike crash raises safety concerns

Pax Jolie-Pitt, the son of Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie, has been spotted for the first time with painful looking injuries after a nasty accident.

The 21-year-old son of Oscar winner Angelina and her ex husband Brad Pitt, was involved in his second e-bike accident in less than a year earlier this month, sparking concerns among friends over his alleged "reckless" behaviour. Seen for the first time in public since the crash, Pax sported a noticeable scar above his eye.

Last week, Pax was seen in Los Feliz, Hollywood, following a collision with a car. It was reported that Pax was riding his bike hands-free and weaving erratically before crashing into the passenger side of the vehicle. Images from the scene show the white car's dented door as the female passenger exited the vehicle.

The driver also got out and appeared to exchange details with Pax. Dressed casually and wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, Pax didn't appear to be injured. However, his bike seemed to have taken some damage, with Pax seen adjusting the front tyre before eventually driving off. His previous e-bike accident took place in July 2024, resulting in more severe physical trauma.

Law enforcement sources say he crashed into the back of a stationary car at an intersection, causing him to complain of hip pain and suspected head injuries. First responders, fearing potential brain bleeding, rushed him to hospital. However, TMZ later reported that Pax was in stable condition.

After his stint in the ICU, a source told American publication People: "He suffered complex trauma and is now starting a long journey of recovery and physical therapy." They also mentioned that Pax and Angelina were "profoundly thankful for the swift, life-saving response of the first responders and the excellent medical care he received."

Page Six reports that this isn't Pax's first rodeo with e-bike mishaps; before the July incident, he'd been in "multiple" accidents and has a habit of riding without a helmet. "His friends are concerned about him. He's being reckless. They're worried," an insider confided to the outlet.

Angelina adopted Pax in March 2007 when he was three-years-old and living in an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Angelina applied for adoption as a single parent, despite being in a relationship with Brad at the time, due to Vietnam's adoption regulations did not permit unmarried couples to co-adopt. Upon their return to America, Angelina successfully petitioned for her son's name to be Pax Jolie-Pitt and Brad subsequently adopted Pax in 2008.

However, Pax seemingly no longer has a relationship with his father following Brad and Angelina's split and didn't want the Fight Club actor involved in his accident or recovery. "Don't expect Pax's accident to bring the family dynamic back in any way as Pax is 100% on Angie's side and doesn't want any well wishes or remorse from Brad," a source previously told the Daily Mail.

Angelina and Brad split in 2016 after two years of marriage, with Angelina filing for divorce. The pair were declared legally single in 2019 but the finalisation of their divorce only occurred recently. In addition to Pax, the former couple are also parents to Maddox, 23; Zahara, 19; Shiloh, 18; and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16.

It appears that Brad's relationships with several of his children are strained, with one even ditching his name. On her 18th birthday in May 2024, Shiloh legally applied to drop Pitt from her surname and go from Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie. Her sisters Vivienne and Zahara have also dropped Pitt from their surname but not in an official capacity.
