Ant McPartlin has slammed I’m A Celebrity campmate Dean McCullough over his attitude in trials.

The host is frustrated that the Radio 1 DJ quit The Sinister Sarcophagus in Tuesday’s episode. Trials take months to plan and create, so he’s annoyed that effort made by the production team was wasted.

Letting rip, Ant said: “Honest opinion, I was gutted when he said it because you always want to see the trial play out because they’re good.

Who would you like to see crowned king or queen of the jungle this year?

“Those poor people who work on trials… they work all year round coming up with these ideas.”

Ant is also annoyed by Dean’s behaviour during Drown In The Dumps on Wednesday night’s episode.

Alongside GK Barry, the lad failed to secure any stars because he was so useless.

Ant said: “I got quite annoyed at one point because it’s a bit like, ‘If you can’t do it, you can’t do it but just try it, try it.’

“If it’s physically impossible then fine, but at least try.

“There was a lot of not trying for quite a few minutes and then they ran out of time.”

Co-host Declan Donnelly is also annoyed that Dean is failing to complete all his trials.

He said: “We are genuinely disappointed because you are prepared to do the whole trial and you want to see the whole thing.

“There’s a lot of time gone into the trials, so when it’s called early, you’re like, ‘Oh.’”
