Apple Card launching holiday promo offering up to 5% cash back on all purchases

Apple Card promo

The holiday shopping season is nearly here, and Apple is offering some big incentives for users who put more purchases on their Apple Card via a new promo. Here’s what you should know.

Big increase in Daily Cash possible at high spending levels

A new Apple Card promo is being offered to select users to earn up to 5% cash back on all purchases through the promotional period. That’s up from the standard 1% cash back that applies to non-Apple Pay purchases.

You’ll have to do some significant spending to hit that higher reward tier, though.

Juli Clover writes for MacRumors:

To unlock the Daily Cash back promotion, users will need to spend between $5,000 and $15,000. At $5,000, three percent Daily Cash is unlocked. Spending $10,000 unlocks four percent Daily Cash, and spending $15,000 unlocks five percent Daily Cash.

You will need to spend at least $5,000 to get the bonus, and it is not retroactive, so it will only apply to purchases made after you hit each spending limit.

Fortunately, even though the promo is starting in time for the holidays, it actually runs much longer: November 6, 2024 through April 30, 2025.

So even if you don’t hit the $15,000 benchmark right away, you could still earn some significant cash back rewards in early 2025. The bonus cash applies on up to $50,000 in total purchases.

The catch, of course, is that not all Apple Card users are eligible. Apple says the offer “is limited to select ‌Apple Card‌ users who receive a notification about it in the Wallet app.”

There are two action items you’ll want to take leading up to November 6 to verify your eligibility.

  1. Make sure notifications are enabled for the Wallet app, which can be done from Settings ⇾ Notifications ⇾ Wallet.
  2. Go to your Apple Card, then tap the three dots in the upper-right corner and open Rewards & Offers to check for the offer there.

9to5Mac’s Take

I have not yet been notified about the offer. It honestly sounds a little too good to be true, so I’m wondering just how many users will receive the invite from Apple.

It’s likely that Apple is targeting users who have the Apple Card but don’t use it much, in an effort to change their spending habits. By contrast, I use my Apple Card a lot already. But I’m still crossing my fingers hoping to get that invite in the coming days.

Have you received the Apple Card promo offer? If so, do you use your Apple Card much? Let us know in the comments.
