Apple, apart from making it big in the Artificial Intelligence domain, is looking to make a mark in the smart home accessories market as well. As reported by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple could soon manufacture smart home cameras and a few more home safety devices that can be connected to its HomeKit smart home platform.
And all the devices will be managed by a smart home command center that could make a debut in the global market as soon as next year. Another example suggested by Gurman is that Apple could also develop an indoor security camera that can be used as a baby monitor.
Apple smart home products could soon become a reality
The same has also been confirmed by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. As claimed by Kuo, Apple will be designing a smart home camera and the manufacturing of the same will start from 2026. In addition, Apple is planning to produce ‘tens of millions’ of the devices moving forward.

Ming Chi Kuo also claimed that the camera being produced by Apple will also support wireless connectivity along with Apple Intelligence and Siri integration. On the other hand, Gurman is sceptical of Apple’s plans to venture into production of smart home products. He said that there is a chance that Apple has started exploring the same. And a major chunk of the same depends on the success of the Apple’s smart home hub that is launching in 2025.
If Apple brings the same then it will give a run for money to other competitors like Amazon Ring and Google Nest. The reason behind the same is that Apple has super solid privacy policies in place and it doesn’t share the videos of the users without their consent (even with national authorities). Recently, the Cupertino giant introduced the HomeKit protocol for cameras HomeKit Secure Video, which is end-to-end encrypted.
