Apple M4 Macs Launch Kicks Off Tonight: What to Expect?

Last week, Apple's Senior Vice President teased a series of Mac announcements this week. While there won't be a formal event for the upcoming launches, the tech giant will start making announcements from Monday night (October 28).

In addition to new Macs, Apple is most likely to bring the iPad Mini powered by the A18 chip. Now, let's take a look at the devices that are most likely to arrive at Apple's October launch event.

M4 MacBook Pro

While there is no official word regarding the upcoming MacBook Pro M4, rumours suggested that Apple could bring a new 14-inch model equipped with the M4 chip.

In addition, there will be high-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, featuring the M4 Pro and M4 Max chips, respectively. Design-wise, the new models won't get any upgrades and will even feature the same Liquid Retina XDR display.

However, the upcoming models could ship with 16GB of RAM and three Thunderbolt 4 ports, an upgrade from the two Thunderbolt 3 ports available on the current models. The new 14-inch MacBook Pro is also said to be available in a Space Black colour option with an expected ship date of November 1.

M4 iMac

The upcoming iMac with an M4 chip is rumoured to ship with a 32-inch display. The new model could have a revamped Magic keyboard, mouse, and trackpad. Even it is expected to feature an upgraded camera or speaker and 16GB of RAM, up from 8GB RAM on its predecessor.

Mac Mini M4

At the October event, Apple is anticipated to announce a redesigned Mac mini equipped with the M4 and M4 Pro chips. This next-generation Mac mini is likely to have a slimmer chassis and come with 16GB of RAM like the MacBook Pro.

iPad Mini

The new iPad Mini will likely be powered by the A18 chip which is coupled with 8GB of RAM. Even it could support the latest Apple Pencil Pro. While all are speculations, we'd recommend waiting for the official announcement.
