Breakup alarms first sounded after Zach posted a controversial comment on X last month, where he claimed Kanye West is a better artist than Taylor Swift, and the Philadelphia Eagles are a greater team than the pop star’s boyfriend Travis Kelce‘s team, the Kansas City Chiefs.

As most criticism surrounding Taylor usually does, the comments faced significant online backlash — leading Zach to apologize in a lengthy Instagram story and claiming he was drunk when he posted the comment.

Following the controversy, fans were quick to point out that Zach and Brianna had also been silent online about their usually pretty public relationship.

However, the country singer’s girlfriend addressed the breakup rumors during the Wednesday, October 2, episode of Barstool Sports’ “BFFs” podcast, which she co-hosts with Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards.

“That was a really bad week for me. I deleted all of my social media,” she admitted when asked if there was any truth behind rumors that she and Zach had called it quits. “I don’t want to speak for Zach, but he kind of spoke for himself on Instagram. He’s just going through a lot of personal s—t and I feel like I’m taking the brunt of all of it.”

Josh then asked, “You mean online you’re taking the brunt of it?” to which she clarified, “Yes.”

“It was a bad week where we… I mean, it’s crazy. We don’t post each other for a week and it took the internet by storm. He’s going through a lot of personal stuff and I went home and just separated [myself],” she said.

While it’s unclear whether Zach and Brianna officially ended their romance for the week spent apart, the influencer insisted: “We’re together now and everything’s OK.”

It’s unclear whether they’re still together following the “BFFs” Oct. 2 podcast where Brianna said “everything’s OK.”

Many fans have theorized — based on Zach’s previous relationship patterns — that the two are on the outs as most of his relationships reportedly end after a year and a half. On top of that, photos of the country singer allegedly on a dating app called Raya have made rounds on social media (it’s unclear whether the photos are real).
