At The 2025 Golden Globes, Ariana Grande Makes A Play For Another Iconic Film Role

At the 2025 Golden Globes, Ariana Grande made a rather conspicuous statement, effectively announcing to the world that following a whirlwind Wicked press tour, she already has her eyes on another coveted role—and isn’t afraid to begin the method dressing early.

Rumours have circulated recently that Grande is a contender for the role of Audrey Hepburn in an upcoming biopic about the Hollywood icon. And if her recent appearances are anything to go by, she is very interested in the gig. 

Arriving at the 82nd annual Golden Globe Awards red carpet, the actress opted for archival Givenchy—a designer synonymous with the Breakfast at Tiffany’s star. Completing the look were opera gloves, sparkling jewels, and an undeniable air of Old Hollywood glamour that all evoked the late actress’ signature style.

This isn’t the first time Grande has leaned into Hepburn’s influence recently.

Just days earlier, at the Palm Springs International Film Awards, she debuted baby bangs with a high chignon—a hairstyle synonymous with the actress—and accessorised a custom Louis Vuitton silver bubble dress with a diamond choker reminiscent of iterations Hepburn has donned.

Then, in vintage Chanel Haute Couture, the actress channelled Hepburn’s timeless elegance again, wearing the same hairstyle and a pearl necklace at Variety‘s 10 Directors To Watch & Creative Impact Awards. 

While it’s yet to be confirmed if Grande has indeed nabbed the role, her recent sartorial choices seem particularly strategic, aligning with whispers that she is attached to the project.

For fans of both fashion and film, the possibility of Grande as Hepburn is an enticing prospect, especially as Wicked: Part Two won’t see cinemas for a while.
