Baffled Ant and Dec ask 'who's that guy' as 'random man' is spotted on I'm A Celeb

Ant and Dec had a weird exchange during the latest episode of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! when an unknown man appeared on screen.

Presenting duo Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly returned to host the new season of ITV1’s reality TV show, seeing a bunch of celebrities heading to the Australian wilderness and being faced with several skin-crawling challenges for a chance to win the title of queen or king of the jungle.

The most-anticipated moments of the show are, of course, the Bushtucker trials, a series of tasks where the celebrities are called to face their fears of bugs, spiders and more to retrieve stars that counts towards prizes they will then receive.

Ant and Dec were showing a preview of the next Bushtucker trial, with the usually disgusting tasks normally demonstrated by a member of the crew.

During the preview, a closeup of a seemingly unknown man appeared in the frame as his mouth was covered in critters, offering a sneak peek of what this year’s line-up will have to deal with on the next episode.

Ant and Dec turned the moment into one of their skits as they appeared to have no idea who the man on screen was.

Ant asked: "Who's that guy? Who's that guy? Is he still down there?" to which Dec, laughing, responded: "I don't know who he is.”

It seems the two presenters aren’t really familiar with all members of the crew in New South Wales, where the show is filmed.

The hosts’ signature humour didn’t stop there. During the premiere, Ant and Dec didn’t miss an opportunity for a cheeky nod to the Wagatha Christie case as Coleen Rooney entered the campsite.

In 2019, Rooney accused fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy of leaking stories about her to the press. The incident, dubbed Wagatha Christie blending the acronym WAG and the name of the whodunit novelist Agatha Christie, culminated in a 2022 libel case brought by Vardy, who lost and was then ordered to pay Rooney’s legal bill.

Back to the jungle, Ant and Dec jumped at the chance to make a dig at Vardy who appeared on I’m a Celeb in 2017, saying: "It'll be nice for Coleen to face a trial that doesn't involve Rebekah Vardy,” clearly referencing the show's dreaded trials.

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
