John and Lisa talk about how the game Uno 'tears families apart'
BBC star John Torode has given a rare insight into his married life. The MasterChef star normally remains tight lipped about his life off-screen, but now he has shared a confession as he said that one thing could "tear his family apart" as he joked with his wife, Lisa Faulkner.
On Saturday (December 28), speaking about what sometimes causes family tensions on a festive special of their ITV morning programme - John and Lisa's Weekend Kitchen - the celebrity couple shared an insight into what could cause them to come to blows.
As the TV chefs discussed their favourite recipes from throughout the year, they played a game of Uno together. John joked saying that the game was capable of "tearing the family apart".
He announced: "We're going to play Uno in a minute!" But he then confessed: "No, that's one of those games that really takes the family apart. When you get that Pick Up Four, people get really angry, don't they?!"
Lisa clapped back, as she joked: "They do, don't they John?" He replied: "Okay, Lisa, that's not very nice."

It comes after John broke his silence on the allegations against MasterChef judge Gregg Wallace, who stepped down from the programme last month.
Taking to Instagram, the TV chef penned an emotional message. He wrote: "Since last Friday, I have been away filming MasterChef overseas. I love my job, and I love MasterChef. I love being part of it and will continue to be part of it.
"During the last few days, I've been trying to make the best cookery programme, so being busy making the show and caring for our contestants has allowed me little time to think about anything else, but that has been hard."

Speaking about the new host of the BBC show, Grace Dent, John continued: "I have loved working with Grace on MasterChef over the years. She has been an excellent guest, an inspiring critic and also set some incredible challenges.
"Expertise is what MasterChef is all about, from the contestants to our wonderful production team, to us as judges.
"The love of food, the love of MasterChef, and that unquestionable expertise make Grace the perfect person to step in alongside me as a judge for the forthcoming Celebrity MasterChef series."
