BBC Strictly's Katya Jones says 'guess what' as she makes Wynne Evans announcement

Strictly Come Dancing star Katya Jones was brimming with joy as she revealed news about Wynne Evans weeks after their departure from the hit BBC show.

Fans of the popular dance show witnessed opera singer Wynne and professional dancer Katya bounce back as they journeyed to Blackpool for the show's annual special in the globally renowned Tower Ballroom, having been saved from elimination the previous weekend after finding themselves in the bottom two alongside Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu.

However, the duo found themselves in the dreaded dance-off for a second consecutive week and at that time, the judges unanimously chose to save Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe, propelling them into week ten of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series while Wynne and Katya were shown the exit.

Now, it appears the pair are set for a reunion as it's been announced that Wynne will participate in the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour in 2025.

As per tradition, some of the famous faces from the hit BBC One dance contest will tour the country early next year. The seven celebrities will embark on a nationwide tour from January 17 to perform 30 dazzling shows across the country until February 9, with Manchester set to be sprinkled with Strictly sparkle when the stars descend on Manchester's AO Arena on February 1 to 2.

Wynne, alongside Tasha Ghouri, JB Gill and Jamie Borthwick, has been confirmed to extend their Strictly endeavours into the New Year, joining previously announced cast members such as actress Sarah Hadland, singer Shayne Ward and Gladiator Montell Douglas.

Katya took to Instagram to reveal a photo of Wynne in a striking outfit consisting of a latex black top paired with gold hotpants, excitedly announcing: "Guess what! ? @wynnevans is coming back! "

She continued her social media updates with a video capturing moments from their time in Wales, teasingly asking: "And you know where we're going? "

The reveal concluded with a picture of Wynne donned as a chef from one of their Strictly dance numbers, with Katya exclaiming: "On [the] Strictly Live Tour! ! !"

Wynne himself couldn't contain his enthusiasm and shared on Instagram: "I'm so excited to be putting my sequins and dancing shoes back on for the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour this January and February! And the best part? I'll be back with the whole crew, including @katyajones and my best mate @jamie_b10!
