BBC Strictly's Pete Wicks battles question on love life as speculation continues

The Strictly Come Dancing sensation Pete Wicks was thrust into the spotlight as he found himself quizzed over rumours swirling around a possible romance with Love Island's Maura Higgins and his dance partner Jowita Przstal.

The TOWIE heartthrob has been at the centre of speculation for weeks, with eagle-eyed fans speculating about the state of his love life.

His on-stage synergy with Jowita Przysta is sparking speculation, thanks to their snug interactions during rehearsals.

However, Jowita isn't theo nly person people are questioning Pete's chemistry with, after reports of a close relationship with Maura, though neither have confirmed any romantic interest between them.

Olivia Attwood left no stone unturned on her podcast in trying to unearth details of Pete's mysterious love life, reports the Mirror.

During this week's segment on Olivia's podcast, So Wrong It's Right, she tactfully probed him, focusing particularly on the subject everyone's talking about: "Your dating life. Maura Higgins."

To which Pete, aged 36, candidly responded: "Me and Maura have known each other for a long time."

Reality TV banter reached fever pitch when Olivia couldn't resist probing Pete, calling him out with: "You've had a kiss, we've seen it!" Despite the accusation, Pete firmly denied any such romance unfolding, asserting: "No, you haven't seen it."

Olivia wasn't satisfied, countering Pete's denial with a cheeky: "We've seen a picture of it," Pushing further about his dance partner, she queried, "Next thing I need to know, are you and your dance partner romantically involved?".

Unfazed, Pete could only laugh off the persistent grilling, without confirming nor denying anything and exclaimed, "My God! " in response to Olivia, who proudly jested, "You don't get awards by not asking the questions! " When cornered, Pete masterfully diverted attention, confessing another challenge altogether: "One of the biggest problems is my b*******."

In an unexpected twist, Pete quipped lightheartedly about on-set wardrobe issues, stating: "Well I'm having to wear like shapewear ... because otherwise Shirley will end up with a couple of black eyes."

Amidst all this titillation, cameras caught Pete and Maura in a tight embrace at London's Grosvenor House last October, their locked gazes suggesting whispers of a blossoming connection.
