BBC Traitors star Paul Gorton welcomes second child as he shares adorable first snaps

The Traitors star Paul Gorton and his wife Kate Waldron have welcomed their second child and shared his adorable name along with his first photos of him arriving home

The Traitors' Paul Gorton and his wife have announced the birth of their second child.

Paul and Kate Waldron shared their happy news with followers in a joint Instagram post. The reality star, who appeared on season two of the hit BBC show earlier this year, also posted sweet first photos of their bundle of joy. Their little boy was photographed in a blue star baby grow as he lay on a bed.

The parents also shared an adorable moment their son Charlie, two, held his baby brother and kissed him on the forehead. Alongside the photos, Kate wrote: "Welcome to the world Cooper. What a crazy last couple of days! My waters broke and he was here later that day weighing a chunky 8.7lbs, the exact same weight Charlie was!

"Enjoying every second of newborn bliss as a family of 5 as we know how fast it goes this time around!!" In one of the snaps, Paul could be seen snuggling with his sons as he held Cooper in his arms and Charlie sat next to him. Fans rushed to share their messages of congratulations to the couple as one said: "Oh, Cooper! You gorgeous little dot! Sending you all so much love."

Another added: "Awwwww huge congratulations Kate he’s a beauty, look after yourself lovely xx." Someone else commented: "Huge congratulations lovely he’s BEAUTIFUL." A fourth wrote: "Omg congrats to you all! what a gorgeous boy Charlie is a big brother now," followed by: "Huge congratulations, guys!! I hope you are healing well and Cooper is settling in perfectly xx."

Paul and Kate announced their pregnancy in June with a heartwarming clip that saw them tell their adorable son the happy news. Charlie touched Kate's baby bump while she leaned in to give him a kiss. Paul and Kate filmed the moment with their son while in a field.

They captioned the post: "We’ve been keeping a little secret. #babyannouncement #pregnancyannouncement #babynumber2." Anna Maynard, who is the sister of singer Conor Maynard, led the way in posting a comment. She wrote: "The best news ever." Kate works as a content creator and has been with Paul for more than 11 years. They welcomed their first son in April 2022.

However, Charlie's birth was traumatic for Kate as well as to him. Speaking on Lorraine two years on from the birth, Paul recalled: "When my wife gave birth it was very traumatic and we were in hospital for a week. One of the first things a nurse said to me was 'I bet you're glad your son is not ginger', and it was the first time I was really offended by that."

For most, a comment of that nature is understandably offensive but it seemed to have triggered a past memory for Paul as the colour of his hair affected his childhood. He continued: "From an early age, I had constant name-calling. Then there was physical stuff like punching and kicking. The ginger thing is not taken seriously, it's still seen as being humorous."
