Ben Affleck has been forced to leave behind the Pacific Palisades mansion that he moved into after splitting from Jennifer Lopez. But the 52-year-old Good Will Hunting star's first stop after leaving home might surprise you.
According to TMZ, the Argo director and star went to the home of his first wife, actress Jennifer Garner, who lives in nearby Brentwood with their three kids. Garner, 52, was married to Affleck from 2005-2018, and the exes have remained good friends. They share three children: Violet 19, Fin, 16, and Samuel, 12. The exes even volunteered together on Thanksgiving of 2024 to serve meals to the needy with the Midnight Mission.
It remains unclear whether Affleck will be staying with Garner to be close to his family or if he was just visiting to check on them.
This upheaval comes on the heels of news regarding Affleck's separation from Lopez, 55, after a Monday, January 6 announcement revealed that their divorce would be finalized in February. The couple did not have a prenuptial agreement, so the divorce settlement has been somewhat complex, but both parties have agreed to retain what they individually acquired during the marriage, as well as what they entered the marriage with. Lopez and Affleck, sometimes referred to as "Bennifer" in tabloids, famously dated and became engaged in the early 2000s before breaking off their romance in 2004. They reconnected in 2021 and married in Las Vegas in 2022, but Lopez filed for divorce two years later, in August 2024.
Affleck is one of many people, both famous and otherwise, whose home has been destroyed in the fires. Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, James Woods, and Jamie Lee Curtis, Mandy Moore, and Eugene Levy are just a few of the stars who have had to evacuate.
