Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have moved on from one another, once and for all. The celebrity power couple dated in the early 2000s before reconnecting nearly 20 years later. Though they married in 2022, Lopez and Affleck struggled to keep their marriage afloat; they separated in the middle of 2024, before Lopez filed for divorce in August.
Affleck and Lopez settled their divorce last month, and it would seem that both film stars have their next romances lined up. Lopez has been strongly linked with Hollywood titan Kevin Costner, and while Affleck's plans had been less clear, a new report claims that the 52-year-old "Argo" star is ready to pursue another newly-single 2000s star.
From J.Lo to...Jessica Alba?
According to RadarOnline, Affleck has had a crush on actress Jessica Alba for years -- and following the dissolution of Alba's marriage to Cash Warren, a mutual friend of Alba and Affleck believes the pair could fast become an item.
"It's been a well-kept secret that Ben Affleck had quite the crush on Jessica Alba years ago," an insider revealed. "In Jessica Alba's circle, it's no secret that Ben has had a longstanding interest in her for about two decades. However, they've never crossed paths at a time when both were single and open to dating...until now."
Alba, 43, was a staple of mid-2000s blockbusters, garnering widespread attention and fame following the release of the 2003 dance film "Honey" and the 2005 "Fantastic Four" movie. Alba and Warren separated last month after 16 years of marriage; they share three children, and Alba has said they will "forever be family" ahead of their divorce.
The Alba-Affleck revelation comes mere hours after Lopez, 55, presented the Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album and made waves with her choice of attire. Lopez is eyeing a $20 million mansion near Affleck, in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Brentwood, while her relationship with Costner does not yet have formal parameters amid her admiration for the 70-year-old's work in the TV series "Yellowstone".
But that is no longer Affleck's concern. The "Gone Girl" star is moving in on to Alba, it would appear, as this is the "perfect time" for this long-rumored romance to take flight.
"They have a strong connection and whenever they've spent time together in the past, the chemistry between them is undeniable," the insider continued. "With both of them now single and their children all grown up, it seems the perfect moment has arrived for their relationship to flourish."
