Despite incredible performances from the likes of quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, the Cincinnati Bengals came up short for the playoffs.
Looking back on the season, most fingers were pointed at Cincinnati's defense, which started off weak before kind of finding its footing at the end of the 2024 NFL Season.
After parting ways with Lou Anarumo, it seems that the Bengals have found their new defensive coordinator with in a familiar face.
According to a report from Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Cincinnati is currently finalizing a deal with Notre Dame defensive coordinator Al Golden.
"The Bengals are finalizing a deal with Notre Dame defensive coordinator Al Golden, who is expected to be in Cincinnati on Thursday to officially sign on as DC, sources tell The Insiders," Pelissero said.
Golden served as the Bengals' linebackers coach for two years before becoming the defensive coordinator for Notre Dame.
