Bethenny Frankel recalled feeling so uncomfortable at the “It Ends With Us” premiere that she left early.
As Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s feud continues to unfold, the “Real Housewives of New York City” alum rehashed her observations about the “off-putting” New York City film premiere in a video posted to her TikTok Wednesday.
“I have the craziest ‘It Ends With Us’ premiere story that I totally forgot about and I’m putting the pieces together now,” Frankel began in the clip, adding that she hadn’t shared the story with anyone because she thought it would get her “canceled.”
The BStrong founder, 54, said she attended the premiere with her colleague, Danielle, and walked the carpet in her “cute” pink dress.
“Then something that I’ve never seen in over 20 years of going to movie premieres happens and they say there’s an hour between the carpet and the premiere,” she said. “Now maybe that happens. I’ve never seen that happen.”
Frankel said that the hour was “too short to go to dinner” but “too long to stand there in stilettos,” so she and Danielle decided to leave before the movie to get margaritas.
While en route to their cocktails, Frankel said that she ran into one of Lively’s team members.
“They’re a little distant and a little icy to me,” Frankel said. “Just, there’s something that I’m like, ‘Wow, OK,’ and in other circumstances, this person is not this way and it just, it was slightly off-putting to Danielle and I. We both noted it.”
After she and Danielle returned to the theater buzzed on mason jar margaritas, Frankel remembered feeling excited to watch the film because she loves the “Gossip Girl” alum, who co-stars in the film with Baldoni.
“So we walk upstairs and we see Anna Wintour. She passes us, I’m like, ‘Oh my God.’” she said. “So then we keep walking and this guy says to me, ‘Oh Bethenny, you know Justin [Baldoni], he was on your podcast.’ And he’s in this one line and we say hello to each other.”
Frankel admitted that she didn’t remember who Baldoni was at the time but that he was “very nice.”
The Skinnygirl creator said that she was under the impression that she was getting in line with Baldoni to see the movie in the theater.
“Usually, not usually, always, unless it’s a weird different screening, the premiere is in one giant theater,” Frankel explained. “But here, he’s in one theater, something’s going on somewhere else. I saw Anna walk this way.”
Frankel said that she and Danielle were seated in a theater and it felt like “everybody” was separated.
“The vibe was off … I didn’t tell anybody because I thought I would be canceled if we left,” she said. “Because the vibes were not vibing. Like, wasted hair, makeup, outfit, to go to the city, drink a margarita in a mason jar, take a bucket of popcorn, take two bites, see Anna Wintour, see Justin Baldoni and left to go back to Connecticut. Like, talk about blue balls.”

Frankel added that “something was definitely awry from the jump and it was palpable.”
The Bravolebrity acknowledged that she never leaves a premiere early, even if the movie is terrible, but reiterated that she couldn’t stay there because the “vibes were not vibing.”
“It felt like I was doing something wrong, but it felt like I was also doing something right,” she said of leaving early. “Something was f–cked.”
Frankel recounted her story as the film’s drama continues to spiral into two new legal disputes.
Initially, rumors swirled that Baldoni, who starred in and directed the film, and Lively, who played his on-screen love interest, were feuding on set and had different opinions on the final cut of the movie.
Things snowballed when Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and staging a PR campaign against her in a bombshell suit published by the New York Times in December 2024 — which he vehemently denied.
Baldoni fired back by filing a $250 million lawsuit in which he accused the New York Times of libel.
