Blake Lively Allegedly Served Justin Baldoni's People Lawsuit Papers While They Were Evacuating From LA Fires!

This was not a smart move from Blake Lively this week…

As Perezcious readers know, the Gossip Girl alum has been embroiled in a nasty legal battle with her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni ever since she accused him of sexually harassing her while working on the movie together. She also claimed after speaking out about the hostile work environment on the set of the project, he launched a smear campaign to “destroy” her reputation in retaliation. Yikes.

The Clouds filmmaker has vehemently denied the claims, alleging she started a “calculated smear campaign” — not him. He even sued The New York Times for libel over an article about her complaint and provided a bunch of receipts to try to prove all his accusations. And Justin’s not done suing yet! He plans to countersue Blake soon, which will include more evidence of her alleged “pattern of bullying.” Oof. The pair have been going back and forth with each other for the past few weeks. And now, Blake allegedly has reached a whole new “low” amid the feud.

According to sources close to Justin for Dailymail.com on Friday, the A Simple Favor star allegedly served legal documents to his team as they were trying to evacuate their homes amid the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles! OMG! They claimed his people were visited on January 7 and 8, adding:

“It is beyond despicable that Blake Lively’s team sent court servers to the noticeably damaged homes of Justin Baldoni’s team while they were preparing to evacuate with a young child inside on the same day as one of the largest tragedies that Los Angeles has ever witnessed.”

That’s horrible! The insiders said the lawsuit papers “contained zero new information” since the filing last week and all this was instead was a “desperate act of ego” from Blake:

“This desperate act of ego and privilege is even more horrendous set against the recent events in LA. The defendants in her suit and their legal team have lost homes, been forced to evacuate and yet are still made to fight for their livelihoods and reputation against these egoistical people. Certainly a new, unforgivable low for Ms.Lively.”

People are losing their homes and even their lives during the wildfires. It’s a scary, traumatic, and heartbreaking time for everyone, so to serve papers to his team right now is just disgusting. That is if this report is true. Because a spokesperson for Blake insists it’s NOT! They told the outlet that her legal team “paused all attempts at service” due to ongoing tragedy in Southern California:

“We have been attempting to serve all of the defendants since the end of last year. This is a standard part of all lawsuits – and is legally required. We have paused all attempts at service until the emergency conditions in LA have passed.”

We truly hope Blake and her team did halt serving papers during the wildfires. No matter what you may think of Justin and his team right now, this would have been so insensitive and gross to do with everything going on in California. Reactions, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments.
