Blake Lively may be rethinking her Game of Thrones comparison right about now…
In Justin Baldoni‘s countersuit against his It Ends With Us co-star, he included a text message in which the Gossip Girl alum boasted about her supportive husband Ryan Reynolds and bestie Taylor Swift, who stuck up for her version of the rooftop scene in the movie. The rewrites caused a ton of tension between the pair, but Ryan and Tay Tay came to her defense — in such an allegedly intimidating way that Justin felt forced to go along with some of Blake’s unwanted revisions.

In a text exchange resolving the issue, Blake explained that her loved ones were just looking out for her because she has a track record of not always being good at advocating for herself. She ended the chat, writing:
“If you ever get around to watching Game of Thrones, you’ll appreciate that I’m Khaleesi, and like her, I happen to have a few dragons. For better or worse, but usually for better. Because my dragons also protect those I fight for. So really we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. You will too, I can promise you.”
It’s a pretty iconic text, to be fair. But Game of Thrones fans are now reacting to the character comparison and pointing out a big mistake!
If you’ve never watched the show, Khaleesi — AKA Daenerys Targaryen and Mother of Dragons — is one of the main characters. But here’s the thing. While she starts out as a hero, she eventually turns into a villain out for revenge after experiencing too much trauma and loss.
Calling this out, fans wrote on X (Twitter):
“The fact that #BlakeLively refers to herself as Khaleesi from #GOT is kinda nuts. Did she miss where Daenerys became a villain at the end of the series?”
“Blake Lively saying she is Kahleesi is not the flex she thinks it is because have we forgotten Kahleesi /Danerys was a psychopathic women who torched an entire city?”
“Blake Lively is not only a fake person but a crazy fake person. She has no dragons and she is not Khaleesi. Not even close.”
“Blake Lively was Khaleesi… drunk off power and never got the throne.”
Dang!!
Maybe Blake needs to go do a rewatch cause she clearly missed this… unless this was some kind of twisted foreshadowing?! The public may be a bit torn about all the IEWU allegations, but she’s undoubtedly Justin’s no. 1 villain right now. LMFAO!
