Alleged texts between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively appear to reveal what was said as he was accused of "fat-shaming".
It comes after Lively, 37, sued Baldoni, 41, in late December for sexual harassment and allegedly causing "severe emotional distress". Baldoni, who stars with Lively on It Ends With Us has, however, strongly refuted the allegations.
In January, the actor countersued Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, 48, for £321 million ($400million) for defamation and extortion after accusing them of attempting to "destroy" his reputation and career. He is also suing the New York Times for libel after it published Lively's harrassment allegations against him. It's since been claimed Blake and Ryan's lawyers have filed a notice to state that they will seek to dismiss Justin's lawsuit.
In her lawsuit, Lively claims that Baldoni fat-shamed her by asking her weight via his trainer - but Baldoni claims it was because he had a bad back and had to prepare for a lifting sequence in the film. His lawsuit alleges: “The next morning, Baldoni was summoned to the penthouse by Lively and greeted by Reynolds, who swore at Baldoni and accused him of fat-shaming his wife (“How dare you f****** ask about my wife’s weight? What’s wrong with you?”).
The confrontation from Reynolds and Lively led Baldoni to offer repeated apologies for what he claims was a good faith and reasonable question to ask of his trainer. Reynolds alledgedly demanded Baldoni remove the scene entirely. Lively refused to perform the lift scene in the end, even after it was rehearsed with a stunt double.
Lively also alleged in her lawsuit he had Baldoni her in contact with a wellness coach. It's claimed they turned out to be a weight-loss specialist and this was said to be another example of her co-star subtly fat-shaming her.

Messages released by Baldoni show him reassuring Lively on her appearance, with the actress who poking fun at herself. The alleged text reveal comes as Baldoni and his team created a website to share the apparent communication.
On February 9, 2023, the duo are thought to have shared a warm back and forth. It's said Lively had thanked her co-star for his support and friendship. He is said to have told her he had been "worried" about her and was happy to have helped. Alleged texts show Baldoni saying: "I bet you feel 1000 lbs lighter."
Lively is said to have joked: "I really really do. Only 20 to go," alongside laughing emojis.
Weeks later and Baldoni is said to have offered further words of reassurance after Lively had asked for scenes to be pushed back. It's thought she had expressed concerns about her appearance in intimate love scenes following the birth of her son. The apparent texts show her asking: "What's the chance we can do body scenes at the end of the schedule?"

Anything you are insecure about we will talk through and get creative together and make you comfortable. I just don't want you to stress about your body. It's the last thing you need."
She allegedly replied: "I just need as much time as possible because I just had my 4th baby. I understand that you'll never personally know all the nuances of the challenges unless you lived this physical moment in time I'm in with this physical road ahead, so having your understanding and support to let me pull this off is critical. And very, very appreciated. Not just in my experience now, but also healing from experiences passed. So thank you."
She is then thought to have joked about needing to look "less bangin" as the pair will be "so fit".
