Beyoncé was left stunned last night when she scooped the Grammy Award for Best Country Album. However, it was her daughter Blue Ivy’s sharp remark that left viewers of the show in shock.

The win came not long after the mum-of-three, 43, made history by winning the coveted album of the year prize. Despite being the most nominated artist in Grammy history, the star has never before won in the top category, with the gong evading her four times previously.

Presented by country music legend Taylor Swift, 35, Beyoncé looked shocked while husband Jay-Z, 55, quickly stood up and began clapping his wife. As she looked around in confusion, daughter Blue Ivy, 13, offered her mum a quick but blunt command.

Eagle-eyed viewers were delighted to see the short exchange as they took to X, formerly Twitter to share their thoughts. Many noted it was the stunned singer's daughter who quietly instructed her to “stand up” and get to the stage.

One person wrote: “You know who wasn't shocked? Her manager, Blue Ivy Carter.” While another user added: “Look at Blue telling her to get up and accept the award.” Someone else joked: “Blue was like ‘ma'am you need to stand up’. This was such a beautiful moment all around!”

Other viewers loved the exchange and speculated it was Blue who was in charge. One user penned: “Blue is really the manager.” While another person joked: “'She really be running that house! LMAO. Set list, choreographer, dancer, assistant, etc.”

Beyoncé sparked controversy when she released her country music album Cowboy Carter in 2024, with the Country Music Association Awards famously snubbing it back in September. Taking to the stage to accept the award, the multi-award-winning performer told the audience: "I want to thank God, oh my God, that I'm able to still do what I love after so many years."

An emotional Jay watched on as she continued: "I'd like to thank all of the incredible country artists that accepted this album. We worked so hard on it. I think sometimes genre is a code word to keep us in our place as artists. And I just want to encourage people to do what they're passionate about, and to say, stay persistent."

Beyoncé beat fierce competition from the likes of Chris Stapleton, Kacey Musgraves, Lainey Wilson, and Post Malone to win the gong, with the crowd going wild when her name was read out. In addition to taking home two coveted awards, the star looked out of this world in a form-fitting gold dress with white Western stitching all over. She added sequinned opera gloves and gold Lorraine Schwartz jewellery to complete the stunning look. The neckline of the custom Schiaparelli gown dipped low and featured a keyhole cutout with a pearl accessory dangling in the middle.
