Bob Dylan's final Rough and Rowdy Ways performances have fans saying the same thing

Fans of legendary musician Bob Dylan are highlighting one thing in particular as he tours the UK for his final shows.

The Rough and Rowdy Ways tour, which the 83-year-old has toured since 2021, will conclude at the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday, November 14. Dylan is set to play the venue three nights in a row and call time on the tour, which has supported his 2020 album of the same name. Fans who attended the tour were all left saying the same thing about his performances, with one revealing it left them in tears.

Dylan, who kicked off the second UK leg in Bournemouth on November 1, has also played Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena, Nottingham's Motorsport Arena and the Wolverhampton Civic Hall for two nights.

One user who attended the Wolverhampton show wrote: "Bob Dylan and his band were magnificent on Sunday night at Wolverhampton Civic Hall. Never seen an audience as transfixed as this one. 90 minutes passed in a flash!" Those in the audience moved by Dylan's performance were often left in tears, as one fan who saw Dylan at an Edinburgh tour date revealed.

"I went to the Bob Dylan show in Edinburgh tonight and spent the whole show crying bc what do you mean that was Bob Dylan standing in front of me? Also he was surprisingly really good." The sentiment of Dylan being a surprisingly strong performer even now is held by many audience members who praised the recent performances.

One fan wrote: "I was moved more than I expected to be." Another added: "Just back from seeing Bob Dylan in Nottingham and it was brilliant. His voice was excellent (in a Dylan kind of way), played across eras, looked lively (again, in a Dylan way)."

Other attendees were left heartbroken they may never experience the songs in these live forms again. Dylan is notorious for changing the instrumentals of his classic songs as he did for the likes of Desolation Row and All Along the Watchtower. He is also known to frequently change the vocal range and tempo of his songs, meaning every performance can be a truly different one.

Some suggested the live shows were perhaps too good and made the studio material pale in comparison, revealing: "Was in the car after Bob Dylan’s show tonight in Nottingham and the set list started playing automatically and I realised that I’ll never be able to listen to those tracks the same way again bc they simply don’t measure up to the live versions."

Another fan added: "Just seen Bob Dylan in Edinburgh and he was even better than I could possibly have hoped for." Dylan will play his last shows of the Rough and Rowdy Ways tour this week. No future gigs are announced yet but Dylan did break from the three-year touring schedule to perform with the likes of Willie Nelson and Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin at The Outlaw Festival in the US.
