Brandi Glanville made her first public appearance at a friend’s birthday party after revealing that her face had become somewhat disfigured, causing her to stop socializing.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 52, attended the winter wonderland-themed bash for influencer Amouranth (real name: Kaitlyn Siragusa). The No. 1 female streamer on Twitch live streamed her party for four hours on Wednesday, December 18.
Brandi was seen in photos at the event with her face appearing smoother in some shots, while in others, her skin appeared to have the slight collapsing look that she previously shared on X when disclosing her medical dilemma.
The Traitors alum danced along to BBNO$, who performed his hit song “Edamame,” as she and other guests enjoyed Usual Wines and tested out Mochi Melt with the Mochi Melt butlers at Amouranth’s party.
The former Bravolebrity posed with the birthday girl while wearing a leopard-print coat and matching Santa-style hat. She paired her black mini dress with thigh-high boots and rocked bright red lipstick.
Brandi first disclosed her condition when she shared a makeup-free selfie on December 7, showing the skin on her cheeks appearing puckered and lumpy in parts.
The following day, the model explained her medical crisis. “What happened? I wish I knew I’ve been in & out of the hospital this passed [sic] year 1/2 spent almost every dollar I have trying to figure it out,” Brandi wrote via X. “Some Dr.’s say I have a parasite that jumps around my face. Some say it’s stress induced edema. I personally say it’s Bravo.”
In a December 10 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Brandi revealed, “Honestly, I have so many doctors and I’ve had so many tests … I did lab work for $10,000. I ran every test under the sun … They’re like, ‘It could be a parasite.’ That’s, you know, new.”
Brandi said she experienced “swelling” and was “unable to speak.” While some medical professionals she visited wondered if her issue was caused by old facial fillers that were still dissolving, the former reality star said that she already had all of her previous facial fillers dissolved.
Brandi went on to detail how much her appearance affected her lifestyle as well has her financial situation.
“I’ve been on meds this whole year. I don’t socialize,” she continued. “I don’t go out and I’m just spending all of my money on trying to figure out what’s wrong with me.”
Brandi said she spend about “$70,000” attempting to fix her facial issues and that she was in a “stressful” financial situation because she hasn’t been able to work in two years due to her health problems.
Botched star Dr. Terry Dubrow said he believed that a microorganism was likely the cause of Brandi’s flare up and that it needed to be detected.
“I saw one of her interviews and I’ve seen the picture of her, the one where she is swollen, the one where she is really deflated with the irregular skin,” the plastic surgeon, 66, told TMZ on December 12. “Here’s the thing, here’s what Brandi really needs to focus on… and it’s not her fault, it’s her doctor’s fault. Brandi needs a diagnosis.”
“She’s like a ticking time bomb,” Terry continued. “Every minute that that microorganism is allowed to stay in her skin and do potential damage, she could suffer worse for it. It could be more difficult to treat, and she could form more scars and more nodules. So, Brandi needs a diagnosis. She probably needs a surgical intervention to get a piece of tissue and figure out what’s going on.”
The following day Brandi told fans via X that she and Terry had been in touch and planned to talk further, as she appreciated “all the help I can get.”
She added in a later post how relieved she was to be able to discuss her condition publicly, writing, “Something about not holding this in and hiding out any longer has really lifted a weight off. The truth will set you free.”
