Brazilian Influencer Jhei Soares Dead At 28 After Being Swept Away From Her Husband In A Flood

Brazilian beauty influencer Jhei Soares is dead after a tragic flash flood in Minas Gerais state.

The beauty icon, whose real name was Jenniffer Soares Martins, was well-known on Instagram, and a star in the Brazilian beauty world. But tragically, on Sunday, she and her spouse Wallison Lima got caught in a very strong and sudden flood that swept through Minas Gerais. Sadly, per CNN Brazil, Soares perished.

Per that outlet and the New York Post, Soares and Lima were caught beside their car amid the raging waters that came up during a strong storm. Someone attempted to rescue them with an extended ladder as they tried to shield themselves with the body of the car. Sadly, Soares was swept away by the powerful water. Then, seconds later, Lima was swept into the torrent, too.

Per the State Civil Defense Coordination via CNN Brazil, Lima was amazingly able to survive being carried away by the flood. He was rescued alive downstream. Sadly, his influencer spouse was not as lucky. Soares’ dead body was found hours later. She was just 28 years old.

Since Soares’ tragic death, Lima has posted messages on social media lamenting the loss of his wife. Per CNN Brazil, he wrote this heartfelt memorial translated from Portuguese on Monday over on his IG Stories along with old photos of the couple:

“I don’t know what I do without you here. I don’t how I’m going to go on without you it’s killing me inside. … I just wanted to be like this with you now.”
