Bride From $59 Million 'Wedding Of The Century' Is Pregnant... As Groom Possibly Faces LIFE In Prison!

Remember the so-called “wedding of the century” in Paris? The event a year or so back that purportedly cost a whopping $59 million?!

The good news? The bride is now pregnant!! The bad news? The groom to whom she said “I do” is facing the very real possibility of spending the rest of his life in prison.

Buckle up for this story, y’all — because you’re about to get whiplash!

On Sunday, Madelaine Brockway, a Texas-based heiress to a car dealership fortune went on her Instagram account and revealed she’s a little more than four months pregnant with her first child. In her post, the mother-to-be cutely wrote that it’s been “18 weeks with our bean,” while also tagging her husband Jacob LaGrone in the post.

Cute, right?! But… why are we focused on Brockway, anyways?? It’s not like she is an A-lister or anything!

Well…

Madelaine first made headlines in November of 2023 for getting hitched to LaGrone. Not because either was famous — but the nuptials themselves were unfathomably opulent! Not only was the celebration in the City of Light, it was on the River Seine, included the nicest perks you can possibly imagine, and lasted FIVE DAYS!

Per the Washington Post, their wedding — which reportedly cost around $59 million — included an overnight stay at the Palace of Versailles, a rehearsal dinner at the Paris Opera House, a private family lunch at the Chanel Haute Couture Suite, and even a private reception performance by Maroon 5! Seriously!

Unreal!

Then, a couple weeks after that, LaGrone was indicted on felony charges! And we’re not talking about embezzlement or tax evasion. No, he allegedly shot at the cops! LaGrone was accused of opening fire on officers from two Texas police departments during an incident that took place eight months prior to the wedding, in March of 2023.

That March, officers from the Westover Hills PD and Westworth Village PD in the Lone Star state responded to 911 calls of a person discharging a firearm. When they got to the scene, the indictment claims they were fired upon without warning by a man later identified as LaGrone. Thankfully, none of the officers were struck. And amazingly, they even managed to subdue and arrest LaGrone rather than kill him in a shootout. Crazy! Totally unrelated, guess what race he is!

Now, after the post-wedding indictment, Jacob is facing up to LIFE in prison for the shooting! Upon his arrest, he was charged with felony aggravated assault on a public servant. Per the WaPo, in the state of Texas, that charge carries a minimum prison term of five years, with the very real possibility that he’ll face the maximum sentence — the rest of his life behind bars.

Per that outlet, LaGrone was previously offered a plea deal that would have seen him spend the next 25 years behind bars, but he didn’t take it. So, his case will now wind its way through court.

And in the meantime, he evidently got his new wife pregnant… despite the possibility that he may never see his child as a free man depending on how these legal proceedings go.
