Britney Spears turned 43 on Monday and celebrated the moment by sharing some bizarre news on her Instagram.

The singer posted a pair of videos, where she made odd claims about the paparazzi and that she’s not turning 42—though she actually turned 43—but that she’s now 5 years old.

“I’m not really sure why the paparazzi have me going on a plane looking like I’m wearing a Jason mask,” she said, referring to Jason Voorhees from Friday The 13th. “It doesn’t even look like me. I don’t know why I have a torch in my hand honestly. I think my friend accidentally gave that to me."

She then explained that she's a lot younger than her latest birthday would lead us to believe.

“But anyways, it’s my birthday. I’m not turning 42, I’m turning five this year. I’m turning 5 years old and I have to go to kindergarten tomorrow,” she added.

Britney doubled down on her claims in a second video.

“It really kinda hurts my feelings that the paparazzi make my face look like I’m wearing like a white Jason mask. It doesn’t even look like me. They’ve always been incredibly cruel to me, the paparazzi in pictures,” she said.

Spears explained that the way photographers treat her is what led to her fleeing the United States.

“And the way they’ve illustrated me to be in some of it, I know I’m not perfect at all, by any means—but some of it is extremely mean and cruel," she said. "That’s why I’ve moved to Mexico.”

The plane photo Spears is referring to is from Monday, when she was captured boarding a private jet on a L.A. tarmac. She wore a long white trenchcoat, black fedora, and white sunglasses, and was holding a grill lighter to her lips.

Spears was declared legally single on her birthday as well, seven months after her divorce from Sam Asghari was finalized. In October, she joked that she "married herself" in a clip online, donning a silk white négligée and lace veil in the living room of her Thousand Oaks, California mansion.

"The day I married myself," she wrote. "Bringing it back because it might seem embarrassing or stupid, but I think it’s the most brilliant thing I’ve ever done !!!"
