Britney Spears' on-again, off-again boyfriend, Paul Soliz, is at the center of a legal dispute involving his estranged wife, Nicole Mancilla. According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Nicole has been unable to locate Paul to serve him divorce papers, despite efforts that included sending a process server to Britney's Thousand Oaks mansion on two separate occasions. The security guard at the property reportedly denied Paul lived there and refused access both times.
Nicole, who filed for divorce in October citing "irreconcilable differences," has been married to Paul for eight years and listed June 29, 2023, as their separation date. She is seeking legal and physical custody of their four children, proposing that Paul receive visitation rights.
Additionally, Nicole has requested monthly spousal support while asking the court to terminate Paul's right to collect any support from her. In her petition, she expressed the need for more time to file proof of service and hinted at potentially using alternative methods to serve him, such as placing an advertisement in a newspaper.
Paul Soliz, reportedly a father of nine children from different relationships, was hired by Britney's team in 2022 for a housekeeper-type role at her California home. Nicole has publicly criticized Paul's behavior, particularly regarding his alleged neglect of their children. In an interview with the Daily Mail, she stated bluntly, "My husband fell in Britney Spears p-sy. He was married, and now he denies his children."
Estranged wife takes legal action amid uncertainty
The relationship between Britney and Paul has reportedly caused concern among her inner circle. Sources told TMZ in August that those close to the pop star were worried about her rekindling the romance, believing it might not be in her best interest.
Despite these concerns, Britney hasn't been photographed with Paul in months. Earlier this year, the couple made headlines after a reported altercation at the Chateau Marmont, where an ambulance was called but ultimately not used.
Amidst this turmoil, Britney has been focusing on reconnecting with her own family. She recently reunited with her sons, Jayden and Sean Preston, after a period of estrangement. The 18- and 19-year-old boys had relocated to Hawaii with their father, Kevin Federline, last year. Britney shared videos of their time together on social media, marking a positive moment amidst the ongoing drama surrounding her personal life.
