Brits dedicates two hours and 18 minutes a week to seeking out the best deals - be it when shopping for supermarket deals or searching for the perfect holiday.

Bargain hunters in the UK are dedicating a whopping two hours and 18 minutes each week to sniff out the best deals.

A recent poll has revealed that Brits are spend over an hour and a half rummaging through charity shops for treasures, but with supermarkets, holiday bookings, and clothes shopping being the top targets for savvy spenders.

Adults rated price comparison websites as the best place to find a good deal, this was followed by consulting family members or using social media.

The survey, carried out by Compare the Market, found despite their bargain hunting tendencies, a quarter of Brits don't bother to spend the time to hunt down the best car insurance deals.

According to the research, while the majority of people are keen to save money, 34% consider saving time to be just as crucial.
