The Season 5 Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion came in hot. Lisa Barlow claimed that an acquaintance from Bronwyn Newport’s jeweler texted her. During the season, Bronwyn Newport’s husband, Todd Bradley, gave her a stunning necklace that cost $4 million.
According to Lisa, neither Todd nor Bronwyn ever purchased anything from the jeweler, including that expensive necklace. However, Bronwyn insisted that they got hoop earrings and a smaller necklace. Then Lisa showed host Andy Cohen the text messages, and it didn’t look good for Bronwyn.
Why did Bronwyn Newport return the $4 million necklace on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City?
Bronwyn was a guest on Watch What Happens Live, and Andy wanted to talk about the jewelry situation. This was the latest blow during Lisa and Bronwyn’s season-long feud. “It seemed like Lisa had receipts from your jeweler regarding the necklace,” Andy said. “Yeah,” Bronwyn replied. “Have you spoken to the jeweler since the reunion?” Andy asked.
“Yeah. I also have my own receipts. The jeweler and I had been talking even like a day or two before the reunion about what they were making for me,” Bronwyn explained. “The jeweler had made a little accusation that a journalist that she thought was Lisa was texting her.” Baby Gorgeous? Do tell!
She continued, “So, I think you see in the reunion, as Lisa’s bringing this up that I’m kind of confused. Like, did the jeweler’s person reach out to Lisa? Did Lisa reach out to them? Either way, it’s real messy. I don’t like it,” Bronwyn added.
“Well, what did the jeweler … what were your conversations?” Andy asked. “So, I told them right away Todd felt like the necklace was much too flashy to be worn,” Bronwyn responded. She also said that it was not appropriate to buy something so expensive on camera because of the country’s economic climate.
“So, we were talking about making something different, and I really wanted to be promoting the jeweler and helping them up until I heard what was going on at the reunion,” Bronwyn said. “And then no, I have not bought anything from them, and will not.” Wait a second. So, during the reunion, when Bronwyn mentioned that she got hoop earrings and a smaller necklace, were they also being made? During WWHL, she referenced the jeweler and stated that she “never bought anything from them.”
Hopefully, we will see Bronwyn’s receipts at some point, because the text messages that Lisa received seemed shady.
