With the launch of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited’s (BSNL) nationwide Wi-Fi roaming service, current FTTH customers may now connect to Wi-Fi hotspots outside of their residences for free. This service was unveiled together with BSNL’s new logo and six additional services, including direct-to-device satellite, fibre-based intranet TV service, Any Time SIM kiosks, and spam prevention measures. Customers with FTTH can connect to any nearby BSNL Wi-Fi hotspot.
For FTTH subscribers, BSNL offers a special seamless Wi-Fi roaming solution that lowers data expenses by offering high-speed internet access to BSNL hotspots at no additional cost.
BSNL customers may utilise the “BSNLWiFi_Roaming” service by going to https://portal.bsnl.in/ftth/wifiroaming, enrolling for the service, looking for a “BSNLWiFi_Roaming” network, choosing it in their device’s Wi-Fi settings, providing their username and password, and connecting to the network. The gadget will automatically connect to any BSNL Wi-Fi hotspot in the neighbourhood.

Aside from that, BSNL has introduced BSNL IFTV, a fiber-based intranet TV service. Its FTTH network provides access to over 500 live channels as well as Pay TV. This service will be available to all BSNL FTTH subscribers at no additional expense. The data utilised for television viewing will not deplete the FTTH Data pack.
Another service to be launched is Any Time SIM (ATS) Kiosks. Automated SIM kiosks leverage UPI/QR-enabled payments, seamless KYC integration, and multilingual access to enable customers to buy, upgrade, port, or replace SIMs around-the-clock.
Alongside it, announcements were made for Direct-to-Device Service, Public Protection & Disaster Relief, and the First Private 5G in Mines.
The Direct-to-Device (D2D) connectivity solution combines satellite and terrestrial mobile networks for smooth and dependable communication. This innovative technique enables UPI payments in emergency and remote places, making it more beneficial.

BSNL is working with C-DAC to deliver dependable, low-latency 5G connection for mining activities. This solution, which uses Made-in-India equipment and BSNL’s technology experience, offers sophisticated AI and IoT applications in underground and big opencast mines, such as safety analytics, real-time remote control of AGVs, AR-enabled maintenance, and fleet tracking.
