BTS Rumored to Release Album in 2025 and Embark on World Tour In 2026: What We Know

BTS may be reuniting sooner than expect! After reports that their comeback would be delayed till 2026, rumors that the most popular boy group in the world may be dropping an album next year have surfaced. On top of that, a world tour may follow.

Are BTS Dropping an Album in 2025?

According to a report from HYBE’s target stock price analysis posed on December 23, 2024, a researched named Lee Hwa Jung predicted that BTS will release a full-group album in 2025, marking an immediate growth in HYBE’s overall sales for the year.

ICYMI, all of the members of BTS will have been discharged from the South Korean military in June 2025. On top of that, when Big Hit, BTS’ label, first announced their hiatus in 2022, they also revealed plans to come back together as a group “around 2025,” after all seven members complete their service. Since then, however, there’s been rumblings that the the comeback may be delayed a year.

During the agency’s third-quarter earnings call on November 5, 2024, HYBE’s chief financial officer (CFO) Lee Kyung-jun addressed BTS’ future plans. When specifically asked about BTS’ projected revenue impact in 2026, Lee noted, “We are currently discussing (BTS’) full-fledged group activities for 2026 with the members.”

“Plans for 2026 have not yet been finalized,” the CFO noted. “While a full-group comeback (of BTS) would indeed generate significant revenue, the growth of other artists and new business ventures means that BTS’ share of overall revenue is not likely to be as high as in the past.”

Is BTS Going on a World Tour in 2026?

As per the analysis, a world tour is also allegedly scheduled for 2026.

While some BTS fans are celebrating the news, some have also voiced concerns over the overall health of the members — hoping that they’ll be able to take a break prior to going back into the swing of things.

ICYMI, in South Korea, it is mandatory for all able-bodied men born in the country to complete 18 months of military service before turning 28 years old. In 2022, Big Hit announced that BTS would begin their enlistment, with the first member to embark in military service being Jin in December of that year, and was the first member who completed his service in June 2024. Following his enlistment was J-Hope a few months later, with Suga next, and then RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook enlisting at the same time in December 2023.
