The Milwaukee Bucks are looking to make a move at the trade deadline. They still have some roster improvements in order to be a true NBA title contender. In this trade proposal, the Bucks go all-in to acquire a forward to help their offensive problems. After consulting the CBA and the Spotrac trade machine this is the proposal:
Bucks receive: Kyle Kuzma, Johnny Davis
Washington Wizards receive: Khris Middleton, 2026 first-round pick
The Wizards have several young players on the roster already, so adding a veteran like Middleton could help them. Middleton could be a veteran who can help them learn to win.
Middleton would be afforded a chance to put up better numbers with the Wizards, also. He was demoted to the bench recently.
Milwaukee gets a player who is a proven scorer. Kuzma also provides length at the wing spot, something they currently lack.

Parting with Middleton could be painful for the Bucks, considering he was part of the core that won the title in 2021. Unfortunately, he is not the same player he once was.
Injuries have sapped Middleton of his effectiveness. He only played in 14 games this season because of his return from bilateral ankle surgery.
This kind of all-in move would help signal to Giannis Antetokounmpo that they are committed to winning an NBA Championship at all costs.
The Bucks sit behind four teams in the Eastern Conference standings, so they need someone who can help bump them up.
The most attractive part of this trade proposal for the Wizards is the first-round pick. That would help continue their rebuild, which isn't close to being finished.

Washington is already going to have a high pick in the 2026 draft with their own pick. Unfortunately, they don't own their own first-round pick this season.
Adding this pick to their draft plans gives them more flexibility to help expedite the rebuild. Kuzma would likely be happy with this move too, as it would give him a chance to play for a winning team.
Milwaukee likely won't make a move until closer to the trade deadline. They could make a big move like this, or a smaller one.
Kuzma is averaging 14.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists on the season.
