Former Hallmark star Cameron Mathison shared heartbreaking news with fans amid the wildfire currently raging in California. His colleagues rallied to pray, love, and support him during this devastating time.
Cameron Mathison’s Home Was Destroyed
On January 8, Mathison took to Instagram to share the news. “We are safe But this is what’s left of our beautiful home. Our home where our kids were raised and where they wanted to raise their own someday,” he wrote.
The video Mathison shared showed the area where his family’s home used to stand. Virtually nothing of the home remained after the wildfire tore through the area.
Mathison wrote, “Thanks to all who reached out and checked in. Can’t respond to all so wanted to give an update here. Sending so many prayers to everyone being affected by these fires.”
The Actor’s Colleagues Are There for Him
Fellow Hallmark stars and alums rallied to give Mathison their support.
Brennan Elliott wrote, “My brother. I am in tears man!!! Glad you all are safe and I’m sure u were insured bu this is so very sad. Thanx for sharing Cameron and if you need me for anything let me know!! Love ya my friend!”

Hours before the Instagram post revealing the loss of his house, Mathison shared glimpses of the situation via his Instagram Stories. In one, he walked along his driveway as he showed a lot of branches on the ground due to the wind storm.
“Somehow it spared the Mustang,” he shared.
About 10 hours later, Mathison posted an Instagram Story showing the fire raging. “Thank you for all the love and concern. We have evacuated and are safe. Prayers that everyone can say the same.”
Another video on Mathison’s Instagram Stories posted on January 8 was filmed as he drove down the road. “The last property is where our house was,” he wrote as the car passed multiple burned properties.
