Carmen Electra has shared her excitement but also shock ahead of her new career.
The American actress and model, 52, is known for her sultry social media posts but her new career will see a completely different side of Carmen. The Baywatch star has now joined the long list of celebs turning to subscription sites in order to communicate directly with fans – away from their social channels which are often handled by management and publicists.
But Carmen's new career comes with an exciting twist. Rather than sharing images of herself, the will be using her AI digital twin images on the new platform. Unlike various subscription sites, OhChat allows content creators to engage in chats and exchange images of their "digital twin".
Carmen's digital twin looks completely identical to real images of her, leaving the former 90210 star stunned as she failed to recognise a real image alongside her digital twin. Carmen, who previously danced with The Pussycat Dolls is among five celebrities who have licensed OhChat to use their digital twins following its launch later this week. She joins Nevrmind, Isa Buscemi, Nikki Leigh and Calico Jonez.

The first time I saw it, I couldn't believe it wasn't from a real photoshoot—it looked that real. This platform is taking fan engagement to a whole new level, and I'm proud to be a part of it.
"With my digital twin, I'll be able to connect with fans in real-time, share exclusive content, and bring even more fun to our interactions. OhChat is all about creating deeper, more personal connections, and I can't wait for you to experience this innovative way of engaging. Looking forward to making unforgettable memories with you all on OhChat!" The actress will be able to monetise her digital likeness through AI without needing to produce her own images or responses.
She will also gain 80 per cent of her digital twins' income from the new move. But Carmen, who was born Tara Leigh Patrick will also be able to engage in conversation with her subscribers. OhChat's CEO, Nic Young commented: "There's a lot of conversation about how AI will replace jobs - this may be a rare instance where AI is being used instead to enhance income streams, for celebrities and creators like Carmen Electra.
"We set out to use generative AI to help creators unlock more of their value, in an infinitely scalable way, while also enabling users to have much more intimate, personalised experiences with their favourite creators at a fraction of the cost of existing platforms. It's a win, win. It's also important to recognise that generative AI has the power to set a new benchmark for safety, privacy and creativity in the uncensored space - so we couldn't be more thrilled to launch OhChat with our wonderful initial digital twins to more users around the world."
