Charlamagne Tha God, Andrew Shulz Talk Drake and LeBron James Rift

Charlemagne Tha God and Andrew Shulz are jumping into the Drake and LeBron James rift with opinions about how the former friends fell out.

On the latest episode of the podcast Brilliant Idiots, around the 1:45:00 mark, the hosts discussed Drake's new "Fighting Irish" single, which many believe to be aimed at the Los Angeles Lakers player. Charlemagne began by referencing Drake's Fighting Irish jersey tattoo, dedicated to James, and suggested that the rapper might be "into "people more than they're into him."

James' appearance at Kendrick Lamar's 'Pop Out' concert last June and support of "Not Like Us" was also mentioned, which possibly infuriated Drake, as he was already beefing with Kendrick.

"But you would be mad if you saw your homie out and you saw your homie go, 'bop, bop, bop, bop, bop.' You know what I'm saying?" Charlemagne said. In a direct comment to Drake, the radio show host also said, "Nobody told you to put them motherfuckers names on you, bro."

Also brought up was an alleged DM between Drizzy and someone over the 5-time Grammy winner comparing his lawsuit with UMG to "Nike funding a campaign over LeBron cheating on his wife," meaning Savannah James.

To Shulz, Drake diverting the attention from him and Kendrick to LeBron is "good." “He's got people talking about something that's not him losing a battle," he said. "Also, this is the first music that he put out post-battle that people seem to be at least having a conversation around."

"It adds on to the 'you a sucker' narrative and a sore loser, though," Charlemagne replied.

"So for you to do this and come out and say, 'Hey, don't make me tarnish your public image,'" he continued. "Then say something about James cheating on his wife in a DM. Then hit Akademiks and say it was fake. Then post later, saying, 'I thought this through.' Why are you this petty, bro?"

While Shulz thinks it's more complex than James co-signing "Not Like Us," he's was unsure if it was "justified" for Drake to drop a diss song about him.

The conversation revolving around Drake, James and Kendrick continued, but, as aforementioned, the For All the Dogs artist has already taken legal action over "Not Like Us," alleging that UMG and Spotify artificially inflated the song's streams and that he was defamed.
