Charles Spencer, Lady Di's brother, reappears with his girlfriend 18 years younger

Last summer, after 13 years together, Charles Spencer and his ex-wife, Karen Villeneuve, confirmed their divorce. It was the third attempt by Lady Di's brother to find a stable and lasting marriage. Just a few months later, the 9th Earl Spencer has appeared with a new partner. It would be, apparently, a woman no less than 18 years younger than him.

In words to the Daily Mail, the aristocrat has confirmed the relationship with Cat Jarman, a 42-year-old doctor. "I'm too old for 'hearts and flowers' relationships. And I think the best way to define our relationship is to say that with her I can be myself. She knows who I am, who I really am. I don't have to pretend to be something I'm not and she brings out the best in me," Spencer told the newspaper.

They met in 2021 in Northamptonshire. It was there that they struck up such a strong friendship that, after a while, they decided to go into business together and start a podcast, 'The Rabbit Hole Detective', with which they formed a somewhat atypical duo that allowed them to see another side of Lady Di's brother.

It was not until later that the spark arose and, according to Spencer, it has allowed him to live something he never thought he would do. "I didn't even know there was a possibility of having something, because I had never been with someone younger. I didn't even think about the possibility of a romance and, moreover, I was finalizing a marriage," he told the Daily Mail.

One of the most positive aspects of their relationship, according to Spencer, is that he does not have to pretend to be someone else and that he enjoys the vitality of someone younger. "We can take today as an example. We could have come to this festival and just stayed in the hotel, but this morning we made the decision to visit a lagoon. It's really nice to find a dynamic woman who is interested in other things," says Spencer.
