Charleston White was forcibly removed from a city council meeting in Texas after warning of Black people invading predominantly white neighborhoods and spreading sexually transmitted diseases.
In a clip that recently surfaced online, White can be seen beginning a speech from a podium during a city council meeting in Fort Worth, Texas. However, one of the city council members issues a stern warning to White that he will be removed from the proceedings if he uses language the council disapproves of.
“Mr. White, I will remind you that this is a civil body and that if your language is inappropriate, you will be removed from the chamber,” one female city council member told White, who continued to address those present for the proceedings.
Deeming himself as “uncivil” as a result of the inequality that the Black community has been subjected to over time, White began to rail against the alleged unconstitutional ways of the U.S.
“This country once sold my ancestors so civility is something that Black people don’t typically get exposed to in this country,” White said in response. “But I do understand the constitution, so I do come in uncivil behavior.”
The polarizing personality compared the city council members to pharoahs in biblical times, accusing them of lacking compassion for the communities and citizens they’re meant to serve.
“I wanna remind you guys that there’s somewhere in the Bible that [says] it was God that hardened the heart of pharoah. And you guys kind of represent pharoah in modern-day times,” White said.
However, White quickly struck a nerve when his speech began to center around race, with a city council member quickly signaling to have White removed.
“I wanna remind some of these white people, they got some Black people coming to y’all neighborhood and they got some diseases. They got syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea… they got some good people!” he shouted before being accosted by officers and ejected from the meeting.
