Matthew McConaughey has shared rare photos showing his son Livington, 12.
The boy is one of the three kids McConaughey shares with his wife, Camila Alves. The photos show McConaughey with his arm around his son, who now reaches his shoulders.
“At a dozen, my son and teammate. To many more wins in life. with love, Papa,” he wrote in the caption on his Instagram page.
McConaughey doesn’t often share photos of his kids on his Instagram page, although he occasionally shares pictures of his wife.
According to ABC News, the McConaugheys’ eldest son Levi was born in 2008, followed by their daughter Vida two years later. They married each other in 2012 and had their third child, Livingston, in 2012, ABC News reported.
Alves also shared a similar photo of Livingston from behind on her Instagram page.
“12 today!!! it is an absolute honor to be your mom! 💚💛💚💛💚💛💚💛💚💛 12 aninhos hoje!!! É a minha maior honra ser sua mãe!” she wrote.

She also rarely posts photos of the kids on Instagram, but she does post a lot of pictures with her husband.
McConaughey opened up about his parenting style to “Good Morning America.”
“Sometimes loving your kids means giving them just what they want,” Matthew McConaughey said. “Other times it means tough love.”
“Affluent people can give their kids everything they want, but they’re not usually going to get what they need,” he said on the show. “Loving a child is a lot harder. . . ‘No’ takes a lot more energy. It’s a lot easier to say ‘yes.'”

His page declares that he is “figuring it out.” Levi has shared photos showing him playing tennis, surfing and other activities, and he sometimes gives a glimpse of his siblings in family photos.
“People know Matthew Mcconaughey as an Actor and now a writer, but I know him as my father; The man who always makes time for us no matter what, the man who’s always there for us no matter what, and the man that taught me to appreciate the journey and not just the destination. The journeys just getting started…Happy birthday Papai,” he wrote with one such tribute.
