Charlotte Crosby is giving Chrishell a run for her money, with her take on Selling Sunderland – even while expecting her second child.
Geordie Shore icon Charlotte, who was recently hospitalised before Christmas, is offering viewers a sneak peek into the hot properties in her hometown.
Forget the glitz and glamour of LA, Charlotte’s Selling Sunderland sees the star using her charm to host viewings of three properties, guiding potential buyers in their quest for the perfect home, including a two-bedroom city centre flat for less than £100,000. A proud Sunderland native, 34-year-old Charlotte highlights some of the city’s most iconic attractions from the Stadium of Light to the Sunderland Empire and its stunning beaches.
Despite its enticing blend of city life and seaside space, properties in Sunderland are 53% cheaper than the national average, according to Rightmove. The average asking price for a home in Sunderland is £170,635, compared with £360,197 across Great Britain.
The port city is a popular choice for those in the North East, joining Newcastle and the historic town of Darlington, as the top three locations in the region for potential buyers.
However, it is often overlooked by the rest of the UK, despite ticking most buyers' boxes, according to new research, which found home-movers prioritise green spaces, proximity to top schools, and affordability when looking for a new place to live.
Charlotte, expecting and living in Sunderland with her fiancé Jake and their toddler Alba, is championing her hometown as a top living destination.
The excited mum-to-be expressed: "Sunderland is my home – always has been, always will be. I’m thrilled that Rightmove is showcasing all the amazing things my hometown has to offer, from stunning coastline views to a variety of homes for first-time buyers and families."
Meanwhile, Sharon Appleby, Sunderland BID's chief executive, chimed in on the city's transformation stating: "Sunderland is a city undergoing an exciting transformation.
"With developments like Riverside Sunderland and Crown Works Studios leading our regeneration, alongside excellent schools, transport links, and a thriving hospitality scene, it’s an incredible place to live, work and grow."
Charlotte's favourite spots in Sunderland include Roker Beach, where you can enjoy a sea breeze and a hearty breakfast at Tin of Sardines, Pensa Monument for its breathtaking views and solid dog-walking routes, and Winter Gardens — an all-weather family attraction nestled within the Sunderland Museum.
