Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce spent more on Christmas than he intended to this past holiday season.

What did he purchase? The Chiefs all-time franchise touchdowns record.

The NFL fined Kelce $14,069 for unsportsmanlike conduct for slam dunking the ball over the goal posts following the score that put him there in the Chiefs' 29-10 Christmas Day victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers per NFL insider Tom Pelissero.

"The NFL fined #Chiefs TE Travis Kelce $14,069 for unsportsmanlike conduct (use of prop) — dunking over the crossbar on Christmas in tribute to Tony Gonzalez after breaking his franchise TD record," Pelissero said on X.

Gonzalez posted he'll help with the fine.

The bit was paying homage to Hall of Fame tight end and NFL analyst Tony Gonzalez, who previously owned the record before Kelce.

Gonzalez replied to Kelce on X that he would cover the fine for him.

The catch was Kelce's seventh of the game, making it the seventh time this season he's recorded at least seven receptions, with three of those games including a touchdown.

It also marked the 54th regular-season touchdown connection between Mahomes and Kelce.
