Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany are celebrating a new addition to their family just in time for the playoffs.
On January 12, the couple welcomed their third child, a baby girl named Golden Raye Mahomes.
Brittany shared the joyous news on Instagram with a heartwarming black-and-white photo of her holding Golden's tiny feet, accompanied by a sign displaying the baby's name and birthdate.
Golden joins big brother Bronze, 2, and big sister Sterling, 3, making the Mahomes household even livelier.
The couple, who co-own the Kansas City Current soccer team, has been busy juggling parenthood and Patrick's football career, and Brittany's due date conveniently lined up with the Chiefs' bye week, which gave the family a bit of breathing room.
Patrick had expressed hope that their third child would be born during the bye week, and it seems that timing worked out perfectly.
The couple had announced in July that they were expecting their third child, and shortly after revealed that it would be a girl.
Their excitement continued to grow as the birth approached, with Patrick even joking in a December Netflix interview about hoping the baby would arrive before the start of the playoffs.
With the Chiefs securing the top spot in the AFC, Patrick now faces the challenge of leading his team through the divisional round against the Houston Texans, all while adjusting to life as a family of five.
Patrick and Brittany's relationship has been a long one, starting in high school when they were both students at Whitehouse High in Texas.
After more than a decade of dating, the couple married in a private ceremony in Maui in 2022. Their first child, Sterling, was born in February 2021, and their second, Bronze, arrived in November 2022.
Now, with the arrival of Golden, the Mahomes family is embarking on a new chapter, balancing the joys of family life with the pressures of a high-stakes NFL season.
As they settle into their new dynamic, Patrick and Brittany are undoubtedly looking forward to what's ahead—not just in their personal lives, but on the football field as well. With a third Super Bowl championship still in sight, the Mahomes family is already making their mark in 2025.
