Christina Haack (formerly Christina Hall) was forced to deal with divorce drama involving her estranged husband, Josh Hall, while on a trip overseas, In Touch can exclusively report.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Christina, 41, wrote a declaration as part of her fight with Josh, 43, over the sale of her Tennessee mansion.
Christina is the owner of the six-bedroom, six-bathroom, 5,218 square-foot home located in the city of Franklin. Earlier this month, Christina listed the home for $4.5 million.
She purchased the pad in 2021 for $2.5 million and renovated it. After Christina listed the home, Josh accused her of breaching their temporary deal giving him access to the pad.
He claimed that while Christina bought the home before the marriage, he believed the home to be community property because he helped pay the mortgage during the marriage. Josh argued that if the home was temporarily taken off the market, “there will be no prejudice to Christina.”
He added, “She is enjoying our community residence. She is in control of our entire marital estate. She has cut me out of our businesses post-separation, impacting my earnings. Christina has continued to maintain the marital status quo while I have endured significant changes, to my detriment.”
Now, Christina has fired back. In her declaration, she slammed Josh’s request to keep living in her home.
In regard to Josh contributing to the mortgage, Christina said, “It is my understanding that any equity paydown of the mortgage on the property during the marriage has been nominal.”
Christina said she gave Josh notice before she listed the home for sale. She said, “I am pursuing a new business opportunity with the same business use as Parker Branch.”
The HGTV star continued, “I proposed a stipulation to [Josh] that he cooperate with listing and sale of [the home] without prejudice to any claims that either party may assert related to the [home]. I further requested that [Josh] agree to execute all documents required for the listing and sale of the [home].”
Christina said Josh declined to execute the agreement and sent an offer with “inequitable terms.”
Christina asked the judge to shut down Josh’s opposition. The declaration was signed on Wednesday, October 23, while Christina was in Modena, Italy. Christina and Josh filed for divorce on July 16.
As In Touch previously reported, the exes wed in October 2021 and split on July 8. In his filing, Josh asked the court to award him spousal support from Christina and cut off her right to collect from him.
The split turned nasty quickly.
Christina accused Josh of diverting $35,000 from her rental property business to his personal account. She demanded he be ordered to return the money. In court, Josh said he had no problem returning the money. He said he had been responsible for managing properties owned by Christina and other properties they jointly owned.
He claimed he needed the money to pay expenses related to the business. On top of that, Josh claimed Christina cut off access to their joint American Express card, which he used for daily expenses.
In September, the exes worked out a temporary deal. Christina was given exclusive access to their Newport Beach mansion and an apartment in Nashville. Josh was awarded access to the home in Franklin with certain provisions. The case is ongoing.
As In Touch first reported, Josh also accused Christina of seeking to have him cut out of a new HGTV show The Flip Off.
The Flip Off was supposed to feature Christina and Josh working with Christina’s ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, and his new wife, Heather Rae El Moussa.
