She told you so.
Christina Hall said her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa’s mom warned her against marrying him.
“We have a very good relationship. She even told me not to marry him and to marry the dog. For real,” she told interior designer Kylie Wing of Dominique El Moussa on “The Flip Off” Wednesday.
In a confessional on the new HGTV show, Hall, 41, explained that she has “a long history with Tarek’s mom.”
“She’s traveled with me post-divorce … me and the children,” she added, referring to her and Tarek’s two kids: daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, 9. “We talk on the phone. I definitely feel like I’m her favorite.”
The “Christina on the Coast” star teased that Dominique’s favoritism toward her would show during a competition with Tarek, 43, and his wife, Heather Rae Young, on “The Flip Off.”
“We have to win, so I have a plan,” she told Wing over the phone. “I’m gonna bring in two judges: one is gonna be my mom, and the other is gonna be Tarek’s mom.”

When Wing asked whether Tarek’s mom would choose her son, Hall replied that the competition would be “judged blind” so there was no chance of playing favorites.
“They’d have to guess whose room is whose based on the style,” she said. “We sway the grandmas, and we win this.”
Hall and her former “Flip or Flop” co-star were married from May 2009 to January 2018.
The real estate investor went on to marry Ant Anstead in December 2018.
However, after less than two years of marriage, Hall and the former “Wheeler Dealers” host, 45, announced their separation. They finalized their divorce in June 2021 and share joint custody of their son, Hudson, 5.
The HGTV star is currently going through her third divorce with Josh Hall, whom she secretly wed in October 2021.
