TV star Christine McGuinness was reportedly "distraught" over her estranged husband Paddy McGuinness joking about their divorce whilst on stage earlier this week.
Christine, now 36, and Paddy, now 51, announced back in 2022 that they had separated after more than a decade of marriage. The former couple are understood to still live together though as they co-parent their three children.
Earlier this week, Paddy reportedly poked fun at getting divorced from Christine on the opening night of his new stand-up tour, Nearly There, in Blackburn. He performed at King George's Hall in the town on Thursday evening.
At one point, just moments into the show, as reported by the Sun previously, the comedian told the audience that it was "all about love and respect tonight". He reportedly said that he didn't care about the race, religion or sexuality of audience members, before saying: "Tonight, folks, we're all here as human beings with one common goal - and that's to help me pay for my divorce. I've had the pants down, me, the pants down."

Instagram)It has since been reported that Christine was "distraught" over the thought of people "laughing" at her. A source told the Sun that the model felt "shocked" that former Top Gear presenter Paddy referenced her in such a way.
The source told the outlet amid the stand-up tour: "She was devastated yesterday and was horrified to be a laughing stock, she didn't know Paddy was going to make her the butt of his jokes and felt shocked that he did." They continued: "She has kept a respectful silence throughout their divorce proceedings and their marriage fallout."
The source said that Christine felt "very low" about the situation and isn't interested in "bad-mouthing" her ex. They said: "She is focusing on her family and work projects, which bring her joy, she's not interested in bad-mouthing anyone."
Christine and Paddy - who got married in 2011 - announced that they had separated in a joint statements shared on Instagram two years ago. They said: "A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children."
The former couple - who were the subject of speculation in July this year over having reportedly settled their divorce - added in the statement announcing their split in 2022: "This was not an easy decision to make but we're moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children. We'll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together."
